Recap: Paradise Valley Trojans vs. Kellis Cougars

It was a good run, but The Paradise Valley Trojans unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Thursday. They had to suffer through a rough 42-14 loss at the hands of Kellis. Paradise Valley gained 96 more yards on the day, but it was Kellis that made the best of use of them.

Ivan Ontiveros and Petar Milosavljvich, Paradise Valley certainly did their beston Thursday to try and avoid the loss. Ontiveros picked up 95 receiving yards and a touchdown, while Milosavljvich picked up 94 receiving yards and a touchdown.

The team's defense also tried their best in the loss by holding Kellis to a paltry 222 yards. A big part of that defensive dominance came down to Paradise Valley's ability to keep the quarterback under pressure: the team laid him out three times before it was all said and done. Leading the way was Jackson Schultz and his two sacks.

Ronald Coty iii looked great while leading his team to the win, rushing for 83 yards and three touchdowns, while also throwing for 35 yards and a touchdown. Another big playmaker for Kellis was David Bedolla, who returned a punt for a touchdown.

Paradise Valley has fallen quite a ways from their 8-2 record last season and are now at 3-5. As for Kellis, their victory was their seventh straight on the road (dating back to last season), which bumped their overall record up to 7-1.

Paradise Valley will challenge West Point at 7:00 p.m. on October 27th. West Point will be hoping to continue their three-game streak of scoring more points each match than the last. As for Kellis, they will be playing at home against Westview at 7:00 p.m. on October 27th. Westview has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 106 points over their last three matches.
