Softball Recap: East Paulding Sets Scoring Season-High Against New Manchester

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask East Paulding). They blew past the New Manchester Jaguar 19-0 on Thursday. The win continues a trend for the Raiders in their matchups with the Jaguar: they've now won seven in a row.

Addie Mcadams was a major factor while hitting and pitching. She tossed three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than two walks in three consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, going a perfect 2-for-2 with two runs, one double, and one RBI. Those two runs gave her a new career-high.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Chloe Grier, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with three runs, one double, and one RBI. Ella Heal was another key player, going a perfect 2-for-2 with two runs, two RBI, and one double.

East Paulding always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .704. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as New Manchester only posted an OBP of .125.

East Paulding's victory bumped their record up to 8-5. As for New Manchester, they dropped their record down to 3-6-1 with the defeat, which was their fourth straight on the road.
