St. Mary Academy-Bay View put another one in the bag on Friday to keep their perfect season alive. They put the hurt on the St. Raphael Academy Saints with a sharp 54-30 victory. That's more bragging rights for the Bengals, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead St. Mary Academy-Bay View to victory, but perhaps none more so than Mia Forbes, who went 5 for 11 on her way to 12 points and eight steals. Forbes is crushing it when it comes to steals: she's grabbed at least two every time she's taken the court this season. Qiana Sumner was another key player, putting up nine points in addition to six rebounds and five steals.

St. Mary Academy-Bay View's win bumped their record up to 3-0. As for St. Raphael Academy, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-2.

St. Mary Academy-Bay View will venture away from home to take on Shea at 1:00 p.m. on December 30th. Shea is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 51 points per game this season. As for St. Raphael Academy, they will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on South Kingstown at 5:30 p.m. on January 2, 2025.
