Soccer Recap: Schaeffer Academy Takes a Loss

Schaeffer Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They came up short against the Cannon Falls Bombers, falling 5-2. If Schaeffer Academy were looking for revenge after losing 4-2 to Cannon Falls when the teams met back in August of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Schaeffer Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Cannon Falls, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 3-0-1.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Schaeffer Academy will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on La Crescent at 5:30 p.m. on September 8. As for Cannon Falls, they will square off against Byron at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
