Volleyball Recap: Agawam Brownies vs. Amherst-Pelham Regional Hurricanes
If Agawam was feeling good fresh off their 3-0 takedown of Frontier Regional on Monday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Brownies came up short against the Amherst-Pelham Regional Hurricanes on Wednesday, falling 3-0. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Hurricanes this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-1 back in September.
Agawam was not able to win a set, but it sure wasn't from a lack of trying: every set was decided by three points or less. The match finished with set scores of 25-22, 25-22, 25-23.
Hannah Jock paced Agawam's offense, picking up seven kills. Jock were helped by Toni Vassallo and Sophia Laprise, who contributed nine assists each. Lailah Thee controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.
