Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Capistrano Valley Christian walked away with it. They blew past the Webb Gauls 3-0 on Tuesday. The win was a breath of fresh air for the Eagles as it put an end to their five-match losing streak.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-8, 25-16, 25-11.

Hope Van Rensselear paced Capistrano Valley Christian's offense, picking up 16 kills. Van Rensselear got some help from McKenzie Meserve and her seven assists. Van Rensselear was also solid from the service line: she led the team with two aces.

When it comes to explaining why Webb lost, don't look at Gianna Rabida. Despite the final result, she had 15 digs and one assist.

Capistrano Valley Christian's victory bumped their record up to 8-20-1. As for Webb, their loss ended a three-match streak of wins at home and dropped them to 16-3.
