Basketball Game Preview: Fowler Redcats vs. Orange Cove Titans + Official Tickets

After both having extra time off, the Fowler Redcats and the Orange Cove Titans will shake off the rust and duke it out at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Both come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Fowler lost a heartbreaker the last time they played Granite Hills, but it's fair to say they got their revenge given the result of Thursday's contest. The Redcats claimed a resounding 68-17 victory over the Grizzlies. The Redcats pushed the score to 62-14 by the end of the third, a deficit the Grizzlies had no chance of recovering from.

Fowler got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Reena Bhinder out in front who went 9-for-16 en route to 20 points in addition to five rebounds and three steals. Danika Serrano was another key player, shooting 60% from the field on her way to 13 points and seven steals.

The home team had won the previous three meetings between Orange Cove and Riverdale, and Orange Cove kept the tradition alive. The Titans enjoyed a cozy 32-18 victory over the Cowboys last Friday.

Fowler has started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it. Those wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 56 points this season. As for Orange Cove, they now have a winning record of 2-1.

Everything came up roses for Fowler against Orange Cove when the teams last played back in December of 2023, as the team secured a 57-25 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Redcats since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
