Softball Recap: Perkiomen School Wins Going Away Against Girard College

The Perkiomen School Panthers got the win against the Girard College Cavaliers on Tuesday by a conclusive 11-1. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Panthers.

Gabby Samy made a big impact no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, keeping things locked down with no earned runs or hits over five innings pitched. Samy was also stellar in the batter's box, going a perfect 2-for-2 with three runs, one stolen base, and one RBI.

In other batting news, Cam McQuade was a standout: she went 2-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI. Another player making a difference was Lily Kovaleski, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run.

Perkiomen School now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Girard College, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-3.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Perkiomen School will face off against Abington Friends at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Girard College, they will head out to square off against New Foundations at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
