Basketball Recap: Rowe-Clark Comes Up Short

Rowe-Clark lost against Hansberry back in January and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Rowe-Clark Masai Lions fell to the Hansberry Bengals 48-44. The Masai Lions just can't catch a break and have now endured three losses in a row.

When it comes to explaining why Rowe-Clark lost, don't look at Marcus Fossett. Despite the final result, he went 12 of 15 on his way to 26 points in addition to six rebounds and three steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Omari Jenkins, who posted three points and five assists.

Rowe-Clark's defeat dropped their record down to 3-9. As for Hansberry, the victory snapped their losing streak at four games and leaves them with a 7-14 record.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Rowe-Clark won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Johnson at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Johnson will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something Rowe-Clark surely won't give up without a fight. As for Hansberry, they will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Thornridge at 6:30 p.m. on February 17th.
