Recap: Frederick Golden Eagles vs. Denver North Vikings

Even though The Denver North Vikings scored an imposing 36 points on Thursday, the Frederick Golden Eagles still came out on top. Frederick secured a 41-36 W over Denver North. Frederick pushed the score to 35-15 by the end of the third, a deficit Denver North cut but never quite recovered from.

Frederick was led to victory by Burke Eismann and Gavin Ishmael. Eismann picked up 145 receiving yards and three touchdowns, while Ishmael threw for 339 yards and four touchdowns while completing 71.4% of his passes. Eismann was no stranger to the big play, cutting upfield for a catch that went for 60 yards. Frederick also got help from Jeezrel Palma who showed off his sure hands for 97 receiving yards.

Denver North's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performance. Perhaps the best among them was Frankie Dardano, who threw for 273 yards and five touchdowns. Jack Gordon did his part for the team as well, scoring a TD off of 111 receiving yards.

Frederick has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matches, which provided a nice bump to their 4-4 record this season. As for Denver North, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-4.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Frederick will take on Mead at 7:00 p.m. on October 27th. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Colorado (Mead is ranked 70th, while Frederick is ranked 78th). As for Denver North, their homestand continues as they prepare to take on George Washington at 7:00 p.m. on October 26th. George Washington is looking to tack on another W to their three-game streak on the road.
