There's no place like home for Corning, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Tuesday. They won by a run and slipped past the Oroville Tigers 12-11. The Cardinals' hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.

Corning got a massive performance out of Miley Garcia, who scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-4. Another player making a difference was Sienna Munoz, who scored a run and stole three bases while getting on base in all five of her plate appearances.

Corning moved to 2-11 with that victory, which also ended their three-game losing streak. As for Oroville, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost eight of their last nine games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-12 record this season.

Corning wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next contest, a 10-0 loss against Las Plumas on the 8th. As for Oroville, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 4-3 defeat against Orland on the 8th.
