Softball Recap: Rhodes Takes a Loss

If Rhodes was feeling good fresh off their 23-1 takedown of John Marshall last Thursday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Rams came up short against the Shaker Heights Red Raiders on Saturday, falling 26-5. The Rams were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Red Raiders apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in May of 2024.

Rhodes' defeat dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Shaker Heights, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 3-0.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Rhodes will welcome Villa Angela-St. Joseph at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Shaker Heights, they will host Euclid at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. The contest will give the Red Raiders their first taste of in-conference action this season.
