Recap: LaMoille Lions vs. Serena Huskers
The LaMoille Lions lost against the Serena Huskers back in January of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The New Year welcomed LaMoille with a 76-29 whooping from Serena. LaMoille was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 41-12.
LaMoille's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Brayden Klein, who scored 12 points along with five rebounds, and Connor Deering who scored six points. Klein scored a full 41.4% of LaMoille's points, the fourth time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points.
LaMoille's loss dropped their record down to 5-12. As for Serena, they pushed their record up to 14-1 with that victory, which was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season.
LaMoille will take on Hiawatha at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Serena, they will head out on the road to face off against Woodland at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Woodland will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Illinois Rankings (they are ranked 300th, while Serena is ranked 140th).
