Westford Academy lost a heartbreaker the last time they played Concord-Carlisle, but it's fair to say they got their revenge given the result of Monday's contest. The Grey Ghosts were the clear victors by a 9-2 margin over the Patriots on Monday. The home team had taken home the W every time these teams have met since June 3, 2021, but that streak is no more.

Olivia Bernier spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered two runs (both of which were unearned) on six hits and racked up eight Ks. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts in three consecutive appearances.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Natalie Dubuc, who went 4-for-5 with three runs and one RBI. That's the most hits she has posted since back in April. The team also got some help courtesy of Khloe Felicani, who went 2-for-5 with three RBI and one double.

They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Westford Academy kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 14 hits. They are 6-3 when they post 11 or more hits.

Westford Academy's win bumped their record up to 8-11. As for Concord-Carlisle, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-4.

As of now, neither Westford Academy nor the Patriots have any future games scheduled.
