Softball Recap: Granger Has No Trouble Against Rosebud-Lott

Granger won the last time they faced Rosebud-Lott and things went their way on Friday too. Granger was the clear victor by a 14-4 margin over Rosebud-Lott. The result was nothing new for the Lions, who have now won five contests by six runs or more so far this season.

Arianna Herrera spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned (and three unearned) runs on six hits and racked up six Ks. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts in seven consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Granger got a massive performance out of Marissa Hall, who scored three runs and stole a base while going 2-for-5. What's more, Hall posted two RBI, the most she's had since back in February. Rylinn Hamby also deserves some recognition as she hit her first triple of the season.

Granger was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .378. They are 5-1-1 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.

The victory got Granger back to even at 7-7-1. As for Rosebud-Lott, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-11.

Coincidentally, Granger and Rosebud-Lott will both be playing Bartlett the next time they take the field. Rosebud-Lott will head out to face Bartlett at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday, while Granger will head out to face them at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
