Basketball Game Preview: Eunice Cardinals vs. Tatum Coyotes

Eunice is 2-8 against Tatum since February of 2022 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Saturday. The Eunice Cardinals will face off against the Tatum Coyotes at 6:00 p.m. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Eunice comes in on three and Tatum on eight.

Eunice will bounce into Saturday's contest after beating Texico, who they had gone 1-8 against in their nine prior meetings. Eunice enjoyed a cozy 47-33 win over Texico on Thursday. The game was the first time the Cardinals have beaten the Wolverines on their court since February 26, 2016.

Meanwhile, you're bound to get a positive result if you outscore your opponent every quarter and that's exactly how it played out for Tatum on Thursday. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that they blew Jal out of the water with a 70-34 final score. The Coyotes have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 18 matches by 21 points or more this season.

Eunice's victory was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 21-7. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 26.8 points. As for Tatum, their record is now 22-5.

Eunice came up short against Tatum in their previous matchup last Tuesday, falling 60-51. Can Eunice avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
