Football Recap: Beaverton Comes Up Short

Beaverton might've scored the first points on Friday, but it was Michigan Lutheran Seminary who claimed the real prize. The Beavers were outmatched by the Cardinals and fell 40-8. Having soared to a lofty 38 points in the game before, the Beavers couldn't push the score so high this time.

Michigan Lutheran Seminary's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Andrew Miller, who rushed for 115 yards and three scores on only 13 carries. What's more, Miller racked up 66 passing yards, the most he's had since back in September of 2024. Another back making a difference was Noah Reif, who gained 142 total yards and two touchdowns.

Beaverton's loss dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Michigan Lutheran Seminary, they have started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it.

Beaverton wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next match, a 54-36 victory against Farwell on the 12th. As for Michigan Lutheran Seminary, they have also already played their next contest, a 42-40 defeat against Ithaca on the 12th.
