The Fremont Tigers have not had quite the year their fans were hoping for to this point, but back-to-back wins may be a sign of good things to come. Everything went their way against Omaha South on Friday as Fremont made off with a 54-33 win. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Fremont also won the last time the pair played back in February of 2023.

Jenna Mcclain continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, shooting 7-for-10 from beyond the arc and dropping a double-double on 30 points and ten rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points she has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Matthea Dalton, who scored nine points along with eight rebounds and three steals.

Omaha South lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Mckenzie James, who scored 16 points along with two steals. Aaliyah Foster was another key contributor, scoring ten points along with five rebounds and two steals.

Omaha South struggled to work together and finished the game with only two assists. That's the fewest assists they've managed all season.

Fremont's victory ended a five-game drought at home and bumped them up to 4-15. As for Omaha South, they are on an eight-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-13.

Fremont and Pius X will face off at 2:45 p.m. on February 10th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Pius X will roll in looking for their seventh straight win, something Fremont surely won't give up without a fight. As for Omaha South, they won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Omaha Northwest at 1:00 p.m. on February 10th. Hopefully Omaha South focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 22 on Friday.
