Webster County is 8-2 against Lyon County since April of 2015 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Friday. The Trojans will be playing at home against the Lyons at 6:00 p.m.

Union County hit Webster County with a five-run third inning on Thursday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Trojans came up short against the Braves, falling 13-3. The Trojans haven't had much luck with the Braves recently, as the team has come up short the last three times they've met.

Chloe Papineau made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 1-for-2 with one home run and two RBI. Kennedy Warren was another key player, going 2-for-3 with one run and one RBI.

Meanwhile, Lyon County got themselves on the board against Marshall County on Thursday, but Marshall County never followed suit. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Marshals, sneaking past 2-0. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Lyons.

Not much got past Lilly Perry, who gave up just six hits to keep Marshall County off the board.

On the hitting side, Lyon County saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Courtney Collins, who went 3-for-4 with one run.

Lyon County's victory bumped their record up to 7-9. As for Webster County, their loss dropped their record down to 7-12.

Webster County was able to grind out a solid win over Lyon County in their previous meeting back in April of 2024, winning 8-3. Do the Trojans have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Lyons turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
