Recap: Dyersburg Trojans vs. Obion County Rebels
On Friday, the Dyersburg Trojans's game was all tied up 20-20 at the half, but luckily for them it didn't stay that way. They walked away with a 37-27 win over Obion County. Despite the win, that was the fewest points Dyersburg has scored all season.
Dyersburg's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Chelby Jordan, who scored eight points along with six rebounds. Another player making a difference was Kalli Maclin, who scored seven points along with two steals.
Dyersburg is on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last ten matches, which provided a nice bump to their 17-3 record this season. As for Obion County, their loss dropped their record down to 13-8.
Dyersburg won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Dyer County at 6:00 p.m. on January 27th. Dyer County will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Tennessee Rankings (they are ranked 151st, while Dyersburg is ranked 19th). As for Obion County, they will be playing at home against Crockett County at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
