Baseball Recap: Excel Academy Charter Comes Up Short

Excel Academy Charter came into their game on Monday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They came up short against the O'Bryant Tigers, falling 15-5. The Wolves have struggled against the Tigers recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost meeting.

Excel Academy Charter now has a losing record of 1-2. As for O'Bryant, they pushed their record up to 3-0 with the win, which was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season.

Coming up, Excel Academy Charter will welcome Neighborhood House Charter at 5:45 p.m. on Wednesday. The Legends have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 10.75 runs per game on average), something the Wolves will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for O'Bryant, they are taking a road trip to face off against Boston English at 10:00 a.m. on Friday.
