Basketball Recap: Rolla Extends Home Winning Streak to 20

Rolla won the last time they faced Camdenton and things went their way on Monday too. The Rolla Bulldogs came out on top against the Camdenton Lakers by a score of 57-49. Given the Bulldogs' advantage in MaxPreps' Missouri basketball rankings (they are ranked 26th, while the Lakers are ranked 209th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Rolla to victory, but perhaps none more so than Rylee Dodson, who went 10 for 17 en route to 25 points in addition to six boards and four steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Mariah Watkins, who went 7 of 17 on her way to 18 points along with eight rebounds and five steals.

Rolla pushed their record up to 16-4 with the victory, which was their 20th straight at home dating back to last season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 64.3 points per game. As for Camdenton, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost six of their last eight matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-9 record this season.

Rolla will look to defend their home court on Thursday against Cuba/Viburnum at 5:30 p.m. Camdenton has already played their next contest (against Battle), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
