After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Glenwood Springs, Battle Mountain was happy to have turned things around on Thursday. They put the hurt on the Summit Tigers with a sharp 4-1 victory. The high-scoring effort was just what Battle Mountain needed considering they were shutout in their previous game.
They hit Summit with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from
Izze Borg (2),
Jordan Asbury, and
Dulce Orona-Castaneda.
The win got Battle Mountain back to even at 1-1. As for Summit, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 0-3.
Battle Mountain is on the road again on Thursday to play Evergreen at 6:30 p.m. As for Summit, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Steamboat Springs at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday.
