Football Recap: Marquette Comes Up Short on the Road Against Hickman

Marquette had to hit the road for their first game and it wasn't the result they were hoping for. They had to suffer through a 48-14 loss at the hands of the Hickman Kewpies. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as the Mustangs came into the contest with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' Missouri football rankings (they are ranked 40th, while the Kewpies are ranked 174th).

Marquette and Hickman will both get their first taste of in-conference action in their upcoming games. The Mustangs are set to challenge their familiar foe Eureka at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Hickman will face off against rival Helias at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
