Basketball Recap: Palmyra-Macedon Takes a Loss

On Thursday, the Palmyra-Macedon Red Raiders came up short against the Wellsville Lions and fell 69-60. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game last Friday (56), the Red Raiders still had to take the loss.

Palmyra-Macedon dropped their record down to 7-5 with the loss, which was their third straight at home. Those losses can't be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 52.0 points per game. As for Wellsville, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 8-4 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Palmyra-Macedon and Penn Yan Academy will face off at 7:00 p.m. on Friday without much rest having both just played. As for Wellsville, they will venture away from home to take on Fillmore at 7:30 p.m. on Monday.
