Edgemont has gone 7-0 against Hulett recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Thursday. The Edgemont Moguls will take on the Hulett Devils at 6:00 p.m. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Edgemont is headed into the contest after thoroughly thrashing Hemingford: they outscored them in every quarter. Edgemont blew past Hemingford 63-39 on Saturday. Given the Moguls' advantage in MaxPreps' basketball rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 83rd in South Dakota, while the Bobcats are ranked 264th in Nebraska), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Edgemont had a senior duo take command as Hadley Hollenbeck dropped a double-double on 24 points and ten rebounds and Tavian Urban almost dropped a triple-double on 14 points, 12 boards, and nine assists. That makes it four consecutive games in which Hollenbeck has scored at least a third of Edgemont's points. Another player making a difference was Allie Brunson, who posted six points and three steals.

Edgemont smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 12 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least eight offensive boards in four consecutive games.

Meanwhile, the third road match was the charm for Hulett, as they earned their first road win of the season. They came out on top in a nail-biter against Guernsey-Sunrise on Saturday, sneaking past 30-27.

Hulett picked up their first road win, bumping their record up to 2-8. As for Edgemont, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six contests, which provided a nice bump to their 10-3 record this season.

Everything came up roses for Edgemont against Hulett when the teams last played back in February of 2024, as the squad secured a 54-24 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for Edgemont since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
