Baseball Recap: Blissfield's Luck Changes for the Better on Friday

Blissfield can bid farewell to their five-game losing streak thanks to their game on Friday. They walked away with a 10-6 victory over the Whiteford Bobcats. For the Royals, this counts as revenge for the 11-1 win the Bobcats walked away with the last time they faced one another back in May of 2025.

Jackson Jordan made a splash while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, striking out six batters over 5.2 innings while giving up just one earned (and three unearned) runs off one hit. Jordan was also big at the plate, going 1-for-3 with two RBI. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in April.

In other batting news, Blissfield let Preston Iffland and AJ Cantu run wild. Iffland got on base in three of his five plate appearances with three stolen bases, three runs, and one RBI, while Cantu went 3-for-4 with one stolen base, one run, and one double. Those three stolen bases gave Iffland a new career-high. Jack VanEtten was another key player, going 1-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and one double.

Blissfield's victory bumped their record up to 3-8. As for Whiteford, they moved to 10-3 with that defeat, which also ended their seven-game winning streak.
