The Newport Buffaloes will face off against the Susquenita Blackhawks at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Both come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Last Wednesday, Newport earned a 10-5 win over Greenwood. The Buffaloes haven't had any issues with the Wildcats recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive victory against them.

Newport got a massive performance out of Chris Imler, who went 2-for-4 with four runs, one stolen base, and one RBI. Those four runs gave Imler a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Jameson Cummins, who went 2-for-4 with two runs and one triple.
Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Susquenita, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Saturday. Their pitcher stepped up to hand Upper Dauphin Area a 6-0 shutout on Monday. The result was nothing new for the Blackhawks, who have now won 11 games by six runs or more so far this season.
The result came thanks to Ryan Schoppy's shutout, as he gave up just a hit and racked up 11 Ks. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than one hit in four consecutive appearances.
At the plate, Justin Reidlinger was excellent, going a perfect 2-for-2 with one stolen base and one RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Billy Syster, who went 1-for-3 with one run and one RBI.
Susquenita always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .516. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Upper Dauphin Area only posted an OBP of .167.
Newport's win bumped their record up to 12-5. As for Susquenita, their victory bumped their record up to 13-6.
Newport came out on top in a nail-biter against Susquenita in their previous meeting two weeks ago, sneaking past 4-2. Will the Buffaloes repeat their success, or do the Blackhawks have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
