St. Thomas More scored a stunning upset when it knocked off Teurlings Catholic, 31-21. At the time, the Rebels was ranked third in the state, while the Cougars was 56th.
The biggest upset of the week belonged to Teurlings Catholic, who took down third ranked Teurlings Catholic, 31-21. Brandon Bergeron threw for 249 yards and four touchdowns and ran for 14 yards in the win.
St. Thomas More's offense has been unstoppable this season and the Cougars feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Bergeron has thrown for 1773 yards and 15 touchdowns this season, while Seth Kelly has 42 catches for 757 yards. Grant Dozier leads the league in rushing with 414 yards.
The top two defenses in the league will face off this season when Breaux Bridge takes on Sonny Charpentier's team. The Tigers have allowed 86 points this season, while the Rebels have given up 83.
Breaux Bridge extended the longest winning streak in the league this week by beating St. Martinville, 21-14. The victory was the fourth in a row for the team.
