Softball Recap: Hamburg Comes Up Short

After soaring to ten runs the game before, Hamburg was a bit more limited in their match on Friday. They lost 11-1 to Ouachita Parish. Hamburg was not able to make up for their loss to Ouachita Parish from their previous meeting back in March of 2024.

M Denmon was cooking despite her team's loss, scoring a run and stealing Two bases. while getting on base in both of her plate appearances.

Hamburg has been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 2-4 record this season. The victory made it two in a row for Ouachita Parish and bumps their season record up to 11-5.

Coming up, Hamburg is taking a road trip to challenge Woodlawn at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. Hamburg has given up an average of 8.5 runs per game this season, so hopefully the team got some pitching drills in this week. As for Ouachita Parish, a feisty cat fight will be fought as Ouachita Parish Lions challenge Beekman Charter Tigers at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday. They are strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 9.5 runs per game this season.
