Basketball Recap: Central Decatur Takes a Loss

Central Decatur was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They were outmatched by the Mount Ayr Raiders and fell 63-35. While losing is never fun, the Cardinals can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Iowa basketball rankings (they are ranked 242nd, while the Raiders are ranked 102nd).

Central Decatur's loss dropped their record down to 8-10. As for Mount Ayr, they are on a roll lately: they've won 14 of their last 16 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 18-4 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Central Decatur has already played their next game (against Nodaway Valley), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Mount Ayr has also has no score uploaded for their next matchup, this one against East Union.
