Norfork strolled into their game on Monday with a perfect record and they left with the same. They blew past the Omaha Eagles 25-1. While the Panthers didn't have the best season last year (they finished 3-8), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past.
Isabella Villarreal made a splash no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out ten batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits (and not a single walk). She has been consistent: she hasn't given up more than two hits any time she's pitched this season. She was also big at the plate, going a perfect 4-for-4 with one home run, five RBI, and two runs. She also hit a triple, marking her first of the season.
In other batting news, Rylan Mutchler was incredible, getting on base in three of her five plate appearances with four runs, one triple, and one stolen base. That triple was her first of the season. Shelby Free was another key player, getting on base in three of her five plate appearances with three RBI, two runs, and one double.
