Volleyball Recap: Siegel Takes Loss Despite Strong Performances from Mia Mcgrath and Eliana Harvel

Siegel was the 3-1 winner over Page when they last played one another back in August of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Stars took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Patriots on Thursday. While the Stars didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Patriots 25-14 in the first set.

Siegel started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. The final score came out to 14-25, 25-22, 25-18, 25-15.

Eliana Harvel and Mia McGrath certainly did their best on Thursday to avoid the loss. Harvel had four aces and three digs, while McGrath had seven kills and seven digs. McGrath has been hot recently, having posted seven or more kills the last four times she's played.

Hannah Rider went supernova For Page., getting 14 digs and four aces. That's the most aces Rider has posted since back in September of 2024.

Siegel's defeat dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Page, the win got them back to even at 1-1.

Siegel has already played their next contest, a 2-1 victory against Loretto on the 22nd. As for Page, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 2-0 win against Fairdale on the 22nd.
