Volleyball Game Preview: Incarnate Word Shamrocks vs. St. Michael's Warriors

Incarnate Word has gone a perfect 3-0 against St. Michael recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Tuesday. The Shamrocks will face off against the Warriors at 6:15 p.m. The two teams are strolling into their contests after big wins in their previous games.

On Thursday, Incarnate Word made easy work of Savio and carried off a 3-0 victory. The win continues a trend for the Shamrocks in their matchups with the Eagles: they've now won five in a row.

Incarnate Word walked away with the victory (and looked especially good in the second set). Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-21, 25-14, 25-16.

Lucia Lopez and Ceci Trevino were among the main playmakers for Incarnate Word as the former had 16 digs and the latter had 11 digs. Lopez has been hot, having posted ten or more digs the last six times she's played. Elise DeLozier also deserves some recognition as she posted her first assist of the season.

Meanwhile, St. Michael's got the win against Pflugerville on Friday by a conclusive 3-0.

St. Michael's was especially dominant in the third set. The match finished with set scores of 25-22, 25-23, 25-12.

St. Michael's win bumped their record up to 27-10-1. As for Incarnate Word, their victory bumped their record up to 14-19.

Incarnate Word took their win against St. Michael's in their previous meeting back in October of 2024 by a conclusive 3-0 score. Do the Shamrocks have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Warriors turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
