Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Westover Christian Academy). They blew past the Christian Heritage Academy Knights 62-27 on Thursday. The Bulldogs pushed the score to 50-21 by the end of the third, a deficit the Knights had little chance of recovering from.

Malachi Waller had an outrageously good game as he dropped a triple-double on 13 points, 12 rebounds, and 11 assists. Those 11 assists gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Landon Hardy, who posted eight points in addition to five boards and four steals.

Waller wasn't the only one working in the assists department: Westover Christian Academy was working as a unit and finished the game with 17 assists. That's the most assists they've managed all season.

Westover Christian Academy has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 10-4 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 56.6 points per game. As for Christian Heritage Academy, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-7.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Westover Christian Academy will host Cave Spring at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Christian Heritage Academy, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Boys' Home at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday.
