The La Joya Coyotes really took it to the Grulla Gators for the full four quarters, racking up a 76-31 victory thanks in part to Trevino, who dropped a double-double on 25 points and ten steals. Those ten steals gave him a new career-high.
La Joya's win ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 6-14. As for Grulla, they are on an eight-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-11.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. La Joya will take on Elgin in a tournament on Friday. Grulla will wrap up 2024 with a road trip to face off against Economedes at 1:30 p.m. on December 30th.
