Volleyball Recap: Lafayette Fighting Irish vs. Bishop LeBlond Eagles

Lafayette was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their tenth straight defeat. They fell 3-1 to the Bishop LeBlond Eagles. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Eagles this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 2-0 last Saturday.

The match finished with set scores of 25-17, 26-28, 25-9, 25-23.

Bishop LeBlond can attribute much of their success to Brylee Miller, who had 15 digs and one assist. Miller is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had 14 or more in each of the last three games she's played.

Lafayette's loss dropped their record down to 6-14. As for Bishop LeBlond, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 19-4-1.

Coincidentally, Lafayette and Bishop LeBlond will both be playing Benton the next time they take the court. The Eagles will head out to face the Cardinals at 8:30 a.m. on Saturday, while the Fighting Irish will head out to face them at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
