It was a good run, but West Point unfortunately witnessed the end of their four-game winning streak on Wednesday. They lost 15-5 to the Marana Tigers.

Zerianna Gomez was cooking despite her team's loss, going a perfect 2-for-2 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run. The team also got some help courtesy of Mariah Mendez, who went 2-for-3 with two doubles and one run.

West Point's loss dropped their record down to 12-9. As for Marana, their record now sits at 15-11.

West Point has already played their next matchup, an 8-0 defeat against Tolleson on the 22nd. As for Marana, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next game, a 6-4 loss against Tucson High Magnet School on the 17th.
