Basketball Recap: Brooks Takes a Loss

Brooks's tournament run continued when they took on Tolono Unity on Friday. The Brooks Eagles took an 81-71 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Tolono Unity Rockets. The Eagles have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

When it comes to explaining why Brooks lost, don't look at Bryce Hayes. Despite the final result, he made all 5 shots he took racking up 14 points. Another player making a difference was Elijah Curl, who posted 13 points.

Brooks' loss dropped their record down to 8-5. As for Tolono Unity, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games, which provided a nice bump to their 6-4 record this season.

Brooks didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 47-43 win against Mattoon on the 28th. Tolono Unity has also already played their next matchup, a 74-71 defeat against Centennial on the 28th.
