Baseball Recap: Crossings Christian Finds Home Field Redemption Against Anadarko

There's no place like home for Crossings Christian, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Tuesday. Their pitcher stepped up to hand the Anadarko Warriors a 10-0 shutout on Thursday.

Cale Doughty looked comfortable as he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit over four innings pitched. What's more, he posted three strikeouts, the most he's had since back in April of 2024.

At the plate, Collin Sullivan was incredible, scoring three runs and stealing five bases while going 2-for-2. Those three runs gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was JT Bargas, who scored two runs and stole three bases while going 2-for-2.

Crossings Christian's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 8-10. The home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.3 runs over those games. As for Anadarko, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-14.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Crossings Christian will welcome Perry at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Anadarko, they will be playing at home against Casady at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. The Warriors' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Cyclones have averaged an impressive 10.7 runs per game this season.
