Bishop O'Dowd moved up to 410 from 493 in the state rankings this week, the biggest jump in West Alameda County - Foothill. The Dragons climbed the ranks as a result of losing to Logan 22-14.
Hayward fell to Clayton Valley Charter 49-7 last week, the largest margin of any game.
Encinal's offense was tough to stop this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Taivale Tautalatasi threw for 63 yards and Jordan Parker had 42 yards receiving. On the ground Isaiah Hunter contributed 105 yards. Kezeri Morrow helped Encinal's passing attack out by catching 1 ball for 12 yards.
The Jets' dynamic duo of Tautalatasi and Parker proved to be unstoppable against Alameda, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week. Morrow helped Encinal's passing attack out by catching 1 ball for 12 yards.
Hunter provided a threat through the air and on the ground as Encinal topped the Hornets. Hunter's favorite target this week was Parker, who caught 3 passes for 42 yards.
A big matchup in the league this week will be when Joe Tenorio's team takes on Bishop O'Dowd. The Jets are currently in first, while Hardy Nickerson's team is in fifth.
Encinal and Alameda played the most contested game in the league this week, with Encinal eventually emerging with a 14-10 victory. Hunter ran for 105 yards during the win.
