Softball Preview: Janesville Parker Vikings vs. Beloit Memorial Purple Knights
Janesville Parker and Beloit Memorial are an even 5-5 against one another since May of 2017, but likely not for long. The Vikings are taking a road trip to take on the Purple Knights at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Janesville Parker will be strutting in after a victory while Beloit Memorial will be coming in after a loss.
Janesville Parker was handed a 12-run defeat in their previous outing, but that didn't affect their clutch gene on Tuesday. They had just enough and edged out Vel Phillips Memorial 8-6.
Lilly Keller made a splash no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out 11 batters over seven innings while giving up just two earned (and four unearned) runs off nine hits. Keller was also big at the plate, going 1-for-3 with two RBI and one run. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in April.
