Recap: Oscoda Owls vs. Alcona Tigers
After a string of four wins, the Oscoda Owls's good fortune finally ran out on Tuesday. They fell just short of Alcona by a score of 42-40. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Oscoda in their matchups with Alcona: they've now lost four in a row.
Alcona was led to victory by David Sharboneau and Evan Borsvold. Sharboneau scored ten points, while Borsvold scored 11 points along with eight rebounds and two steals.
Oscoda's loss dropped their record down to 11-5. As for Alcona, they pushed their record up to 15-4 with that win, which was their sixth straight at home.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Oscoda will square off against Heston Academy at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Alcona, they will head out on the road to challenge Mio-Au Sable at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
