Preview: Evansville North Huskies vs. Terre Haute North Vigo Patriots        
        
		
            
 The Evansville North Huskies will head out on the road to face off against the Terre Haute North Vigo Patriots at 1:30  p.m.  on Saturday. Hopefully Evansville North is not getting complacent, as they presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Terre Haute North Vigo in Indiana (Evansville North is ranked 100th, while Terre Haute North Vigo is ranked 298th).
 Last Monday, Evansville North had just enough and edged Vincennes Rivet out  48-46.
 Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Evansville North to victory, but perhaps none more so than   Brooke Silva, who  scored ten points along with five  rebounds and five  steals. Those five  steals set a new season-high mark for her. Another player making a difference was  Libby Blythe, who  scored 17 points.
 Meanwhile, Terre Haute North Vigo struggled with  assists on Tuesday (Northview had seven more) and sadly the final score reflected it. Terre Haute North Vigo had to suffer through a rough  63-34 loss at the hands of Northview. Terre Haute North Vigo has now  taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
 Terre Haute North Vigo's  defeat came about despite a quality game from  Rebecca Gore, who  scored 21 points along with eight  rebounds and three  steals. That's the first time this season that  Gore  pulled down eight or more   rebounds.
 Evansville North has  been performing  well recently as they've  won three of their last four matches,  which provided a nice bump to their 5-3 record this season. As for Terre Haute North Vigo, they have  not been sharp recently, as they've  lost eight of their last nine matchups,  which put a noticeable dent in their 2-11 record this season.
This contest  is one where the number of possessions is likely to be a big factor:  Evansville North  have been smashing the glass this season,  having  only  averaged 25.1  rebounds per game. It's a different story for Terre Haute North Vigo, though, as  they've been averaging  only 31  rebounds per game. Given these competing strengths, it'll be interesting to see how their clash plays out.
 Everything came up roses for Evansville North against Terre Haute North Vigo in their previous matchup  back in December of 2022 as the  squad secured a  60-31 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for Evansville North since the  squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
