Volleyball Recap: Copper Hills Picks Up Third Consecutive Victory

Copper Hills had already won two in a row and they went ahead and made it three on Thursday. They came out on top against the Cedar Valley Aviators by a score of 3-1. This was a revenge game for the Grizzlies: when they faced off against the Aviators back in March, they had to take a 3-1 defeat.

Copper Hills had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 20-25, 25-23, 25-16, 25-17.

Aiden Hintze paced Copper Hills' offense, picking up 13 kills. Hintze got some help from Alex Cortez and his 28 assists.

When it comes to explaining why Cedar Valley lost, don't look at Kahana Franco. Despite the final result, he had seven digs and three aces.

Copper Hills' victory bumped their record up to 7-9. As for Cedar Valley, they have been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 11-10 record this season.

Coincidentally, Copper Hills and Cedar Valley will both be playing Mountain Ridge the next time they take the court. The Grizzlies will host the Sentinels at 6:30 p.m. on Friday, while the Aviators will head out to face them at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
