Alpine has gone 8-2 against Tornillo recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Tuesday. Alpine will be playing at home against Tornillo at 5:00 p.m. Alpine will be looking to extend their current three-game winning streak.

Alpine took a seven-run defeat the last time they faced off against Colorado, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. Alpine had just enough and edged out Colorado 6-5.

Taryn Hardin spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned (and four unearned) runs on eight hits.

At the plate, Kacy Hawkins was excellent, scoring two runs while going 2-for-3.

Meanwhile, Tornillo came up short against Presidio on Friday, falling 16-4. The loss continues a trend for the Coyotes in their meetings with the Blue Devils: they've now lost six in a row.

Alpine's win bumped their record up to 8-14. As for Tornillo, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-7.

Everything went Alpine's way against Tornillo when the teams last played back in April of 2024, as Alpine made off with a 23-1 victory. Will Alpine repeat their success, or does Tornillo has a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
