Football Recap: Potter Valley Starts Season with Victory Against Roseland University Prep

Potter Valley had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. Everything went their way against the Roseland University Prep Knights on Saturday as they made off with a 26-6 win. This was payback for the Bearcats, who suffered a 42-6 loss the last time these two teams met.

Cesar Martinez threw for 42 yards and one touchdown. Clayton Johnson was his top target, picking up 42 receiving yards and one TD.

Roseland University Prep is on a six-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-3.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Potter Valley will challenge Swett at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Roseland University Prep, they will square off against Calistoga at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
