Basketball Recap: West Point Snaps Eight-Game Streak of Losses at Home

West Point hasn't had quite the year their fans were hoping for to this point, but back-to-back wins may be a sign of good things to come. They managed a 54-49 victory over the King & Queen Central Royal Tigers on Thursday. This was a revenge game for the Pointers: when they faced off against the Royal Tigers back in December of 2024, they had to take a 49-43 loss.

Despite the loss, King & Queen Central still got an impressive performance from Gerard Hill, who posted 25 points.

West Point's win ended an eight-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 3-9. As for King & Queen Central, they now have a losing record at 5-6.

West Point will be playing in front of their home fans against Maggie Walker at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for King & Queen Central, they will venture away from home to face off against Charles City at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Both have had a bumpy ride up to this point with four consecutive losses for King & Queen Central and three for Charles City.
