Argenta-Oreana had won two straight games and Alexis Havener did her part to make it three on Tuesday. The Bombers came within a single set of losing the streak, but they secured a 2-1 W against the Cerro Gordo/Bement Broncos with plenty of help from Havener, who had 18 digs. With that strong performance, she is now averaging an impressive 10.2 digs per game.

It was an exciting match in which no team won back-to-back sets, but at the end of the day Argenta-Oreana got the one that really mattered. The match finished with set scores of 25-17, 20-25, 26-24.

Despite the defeat, Cerro Gordo/Bement saw an underclassman step up: freshman Lauren Hill had 12 digs and one assist. Those 12 digs set a new season-high mark for Hill.

Argenta-Oreana's win bumped their record up to 9-11. As for Cerro Gordo/Bement, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 8-11 record this season.

Argenta-Oreana has already played their next match, a 2-0 victory against Oakland/Kansas/Shiloh on the 25th. As for Cerro Gordo/Bement, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 2-1 loss against Rantoul on the 24th.
