Softball Recap: Buena Colts vs. Nogales Apaches
Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Buena). Everything went their way against the Nogales Apaches on Thursday as they made off with a 22-2 win. The team's explosion at the plate also rewarded the Colts with their most commanding win of the season.
Ariella Antemann was a major factor no matter where she played. She didn't allow a single earned run over five innings pitched. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than one earned run in four consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, scoring three runs while getting on base in all four of her plate appearances.
In other batting news, Amaya Serrano was a standout: she scored three runs while going 3-for-4. Another player making a difference was Morgan Smith, who went 2-for-4 with four runs and four RBI.
